As Earth Day approaches, Earthworm is excited to offer a special opportunity to make a positive impact on the environment. Back by popular demand, they’re providing a reduced rate for offices interested in hosting an Earth Day e-waste recycling drive for their staff. It’s the perfect opportunity to declutter and responsibly dispose of old personal electronics.
Here’s how it works:
- Earthworm will drop off a collection hamper in advance of Earth Day (April 22nd), making it convenient for your staff to start gathering their unwanted electronics.
- After Earth Day, they’ll schedule a pick-up at your convenience, ensuring a hassle-free experience.
- As part of our Earth Day special, they’re waiving all per-item fees! The only charges will be a $75 hamper drop-off fee, a $75 pick-up fee, and $30 per hamper you use.*
- Additionally, they offer hard drive destruction upon request for an additional charge.
For your convenience, they’re provided a document listing all the items we can and cannot accept. Please see that list here.
Don’t miss this chance to contribute to a greener planet! Call or email them today to learn more or to set up an event. (617-628-1844; )
Let’s make this Earth Day one to remember as we all work together to protect our planet for future generations

Building Operations is committed to promoting sustainability in all aspects of building management. Here are some tips and initiatives to help you join us in making a positive impact on our planet:
Energy Efficiency Upgrades: Consider investing in energy-efficient upgrades for your building, such as LED lighting, programmable thermostats, and energy-efficient appliances. These upgrades not only reduce energy consumption but also lower utility costs in the long run.
Waste Reduction Strategies: Implement waste reduction strategies such as recycling programs, composting initiatives, and reducing single-use plastics. Encourage tenants to adopt eco-friendly practices and provide educational resources to help them understand the importance of waste reduction.
Water Conservation Measures: Install low-flow fixtures, conduct regular maintenance to fix leaks promptly, and implement water-saving practices such as collecting rainwater for landscaping purposes. Every drop saved contributes to the conservation of this precious resource.
Green Building Certifications: Explore green building certifications such as LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) or BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) to showcase your building’s commitment to sustainability. These certifications not only enhance the building’s reputation but also attract environmentally-conscious tenants.
Promotion of Sustainable Transportation: Encourage tenants and staff to use sustainable transportation options such as biking, walking, carpooling, or using public transit. Provide amenities such as bike racks, showers, and changing facilities to support active commuting.
Community Engagement Events: Organize community clean-up events, tree planting initiatives, or educational workshops to raise awareness about environmental issues and foster a sense of community among tenants and building staff.
Continuous Education and Training: Stay updated on the latest sustainability trends and best practices through educational seminars, workshops, and online resources, like through BOMA. Empower your building management team with the knowledge and skills needed to implement sustainable initiatives effectively.
Remember, sustainability is a journey that requires collective effort and commitment from everyone involved. Let’s work together to create a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future for generations to come.
